Hello Celiac Community of Tulsa! My name is Jonathan Neff and I am the founder, CEO & head brewer at NEFF Brewing. Some of you may know about NEFF Brewing but you may not know it was born from my dream of having a safe place for everyone to eat, drink, and socialize, including those with Celiac disease and gluten intolerance, a place of culinary inclusivity. Hence our motto, “brewed for everyone”.
I was in my 20s and beginning graduate school when I was diagnosed with Celiac disease. I had inherited it from my maternal grandmother and I unknowingly suffered from it most of my life. As a young man in school, it was very hard to navigate the world finding safe foods. When I got out of school I worked in a laboratory by day and by night I was in my parents' garage home-brewing gluten free beer. It was quite the grind, but I was determined. Celiac sufferers should have craft beer that was equal to if not better than gluten-full craft beers. And so, NEFF Brewing was born.
I worked incredibly hard to go from a garage home-brewing operation to the beautiful, spacious taproom & pub NEFF Brewing has now. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has severely affected our business. I have given up my salary to stretch payroll further for my employees. My bartenders and kitchen staff can't find part time interim work to cover the hours we had to cut because all bars & restaurants are closed in the Tulsa area. I am very worried about my staff and their families. No one could have predicted this pandemic but the economic effects are truly devastating.
I am asking for your help to keep us in business until we can re-open to normal operations. We are open for to-go orders from 3-8pm on weekdays and 12-5pm on weekends. You just call your order in (918-367-0640), pay on the phone and pick up by our kitchen entrance. You can also order via DoorDash. We're running case specials as well as $1 off of crowlers and 4 packs of cans. Every single order helps. If you do a to go order, please remember when tipping, this is the only business our bartenders are getting. Other ways to support us during this rough time is to purchase gift cards to use when we are allowed to re-open the taproom, purchase merchandise, and/or become a beer club member. If you are able to support us, please snap a photo and tag @neffbrewing so we can share your support on social media.
We want to be able to remain open after this state of emergency passes and serve the Celiac community as well as the greater Tulsa area. Please help us stay afloat! We love and appreciate you all.
Cheers,
Jonathan Neff
